IBM Launches New AI Model for Businesses
IBM has unveiled a new version of its artificial intelligence (AI) model, specifically designed to meet the growing demand for generative AI technology in businesses. The model, named Granite 3.0, aims to support companies in leveraging AI capabilities. This news was reported by Reuters.
According to the report, like other models in IBM's Granite family, Granite 3.0 is open-source, allowing anyone to use it for free. This contrasts with competitors like Microsoft, which charges users for similar services.
IBM also offers a paid tool called Watsonx, which is used in data centers and can be customized according to specific business needs.
The new Granite model is available for commercial use starting Monday. It will be accessible via Watsonx and through NVIDIA’s software tool stack.
